About Butterbuggs

Sarah first got the idea for Butterbuggs when her daughter was a baby. She would try using regular baby bibs but they just didn't work well. They would get stained in one use or never fully get clean, plus some of them were pretty tacky. What was the point of putting her daughter in a cute outfit just to cover it up with a crusty, stained cartoon bib.

Sarah wanted to make something that was fun, funky and stylish but that was also practical, easy to use and that could be used over and over and still look nice. So, she came up with her unique bib and strap design. She found when she started putting her daughter in them she had a lot of interest.

Moms, Dads, Grandparents, etc. started coming up to her asking about the bibs and wanting to purchase them. That's when Butterbuggs was born.

The Lennon collection

Butterbuggs has a new addition. The "Lennon" collection of fashionable kids leather cuffs are named after my daughter Lennon. The idea for these hip, colorful cuffs actually came from Lennon. She kept taking the straps I designed for the bibs and wrapping them around her wrist to wear as bracelets. That got me thinking and I came up with the leather cuff design. They are so bright and fun and the kids love to collect and trade them.
